I took a long blogging hiatus because my husband received a job promotion and were were trying to sell our house for the longest time. Very stressful!!! It took 7 1/2 months and we finally sold our South Carolina house.
We will be closing on it this week and we bought a new house in Georgia. We will close on that house in the next couple of weeks. However, here is my dilemma. We have an excercise room in the next house in the basement and I want to know the best equipment to put in there. Any suggestions!?!?!?! Please let me know worked for your home gym and what did not. Gym equipment is so expensive so I do not want to go out there and waste my money if it is not good. Here is a picture of the new excercise room. Remember, the equipment will go with them.
What should we get??? Stay away from?
All your help is appreciated!!!!
Okay, I did not get a chance to do my own facial peel. Instead, I had bigger things to accomplish. My dishwasher.
Since we sold our house, I wanted to make sure the new people did not have any regrets about buying it. Therefore I found the Pinterest way to clean the dishwasher and set off to work. The before picture is embarrasing. I did not know about how you should lift up those things in the back and clean them. Just imagine 6 years of never cleaning it. NASTY!!!!
Lo and behold.... here is my after......
Do you see the difference????? I did and so did my husband! Click here for the link so you can get your dishwasher to run sparkly clean again. Why did I not do this earlier!?
What have you tried to do to clean your dishwasher?
The rainy day created a perfect opportunity for this Pinterest activity.
All you need is paint, ziploc bag, and some tape. It is a mess free finger painting project. Usually I do not mind messes, but since we are in an apartment right now before we move into our house I am trying to keep it as mess free as possible.
My daughter really enjoyed it!!! We also used it as her place mat when eating dinner. She wanted to play with it while she ate. I have to say that was the longest she stayed in her seat while eating in a long time!!
Today I am going to do something a little different. My face has been breaking out like crazy from all my stress! I am going to do a homemade biore strip.
First thing in the grocery store my son started to complain about the dinner for tonight. Really!? You are already complaining about the food before I start making it!? Any other parents have that problem out there? I am just wondering if it is me!
Anyway, came home and fixed the dinner. It smelled heavenly. Very easy to make and just put it in the oven for 25 minutes. I was feeling very proud of myself for making my first Pinterest item from my board.
Anyway, I take the bubbly concoction out of the oven and my mouth was watering with anticipation. I served it to the kids and my son hated it!!! He pretended he was gagging. Seriously, I need to do something about him! My daughter loved it and ate it all up :) At least she was happy. I liked it. I would add more spices to it next time. My husband did not eat it because he went out to a business dinner.
Oh well, day #1 of my pinterest addiction was a success for me.... kind of a failure of a meal for my family. Tonight I am going to try to do a craft. It is a rainy day here and I thought I would try the mess free finger painting.
Who out there is addicted to Pinterest? I know that I am!! Seriously, I have been "pinning" away and my boards are staring to fill up fast. I only started Pinterest about 3 weeks ago, but it has been nonstop looking for great ideas when the kids are getting ready for bed with their dad or I have a spare moment.
The more I started thinking about it, the more I started to wonder when I am going to have the time to make some of these amazing ideas come to reality. So, to help my accountability, I have decided that I will making something I have "pinned" from Pinterest and post it on my newly created blog.
I am going to write a review about how easy or hard the project, food, or whatever crazy idea somebody thought up, was to create.
Are you with me???? I am excited! Tonight I am going to start with some food. As a busy mom, I am always looking for new recipes that will appeal to my husband and kids. Tonight will be White Chicken Enchiladas.
Tomorrow will be the review with some pictures. Stay tuned and have a great day :)
